Should I use raw ability scores or modifiers?

Raw scores (3–20) make a better radar because the range is wider and the shape is more expressive. Modifiers (-1 to +5) compress everything toward the center. Just keep every character on the same choice.

How do I show a character leveling up?

Add the character twice — 'Level 1' and 'Level 8' — and overlay the two outlines. Ability Score Improvements and magic items show up as the outer shape pushing past the inner one.

Can I use this for Pathfinder or other systems?

Yes. Rename the axes to whatever attributes your system uses — Pathfinder shares the same six, and systems like Call of Cthulhu or Fate work fine once you set a consistent scale.

How do I spot party coverage gaps?

Overlay the whole party and look for axes where every outline sits near the center. Those are the checks and saves your table will consistently fail.
