How to Make a Radar Chart in Google Sheets
Google Sheets can produce a basic radar chart in a few clicks. It's fine for a one-off slide, but the customization is limited and you can't share or embed an interactive version. Here's the quick recipe — and a faster alternative when you need anything more.

The 4-step Google Sheets recipe
1. Lay out your data with attributes in column A and one entity per column (B, C, D…). Use the same numeric scale across every cell.
2. Select the whole range including the header row.
3. Insert → Chart. Sheets usually picks a column chart; in the Chart editor sidebar, open the Setup tab and change Chart type to Radar chart.
4. In Customize, tweak series colors, line thickness and the min/max of the radial axis. Use Series → Fill opacity to add the translucent area fill that makes overlays readable.
What Google Sheets can't do well
Sheets radar charts are static images: you can't hover an axis to read exact values, toggle a series on or off, or embed a live interactive version on a website. The styling is also limited — no gradient fills, no custom themes, no SVG export, and the chart shape doesn't scale cleanly when you embed it into Slides or Docs.
For recurring reports or anything you want to share with a link, a dedicated tool is faster.

When to stay in Sheets
If the chart is a throwaway for one internal slide and nobody will interact with it, the built-in Sheets radar is the path of least resistance. If you'll re-use the chart, share it, embed it, or want it to look on-brand, build it once in a dedicated maker and link it from your sheet.
