    About this template

Every product backlog is full of features that all sound important until you're forced to rank them against each other. This template scores candidate features across user impact, business value, low effort, strategic fit, urgency, and low risk so a prioritization debate becomes a visual comparison instead of whoever argues loudest in the planning meeting. Note that effort and risk are framed as 'low effort' and 'low risk' so higher always means better on every axis — a common mistake in DIY prioritization frameworks is mixing directions, which makes the resulting shape meaningless. Use it in sprint planning, roadmap reviews, or when a stakeholder is pushing hard for a pet feature that doesn't actually score well against the rest of the queue. A feature with a small, spiky shape concentrated on urgency but weak everywhere else is a very different bet than one with a broad, moderate shape across every axis, and seeing that difference visually tends to end debates that a spreadsheet of scores drags out.
